mission falls

today i found out that the best yarn ever made, sold, knit and worn was discontinued on jan 1, 2011. i guess 2011 is going to be a shitty year if that's the way it started. time to almost blow my credit limit buying up as much of it as i can. SO SAD! i've been using this for years! it doesn't shed, isn't itchy, doesn't pill, is super elastic, is 100% merino, is wicked warm and comes in RAD colors. why didn't they just sell the company rather than close it?

this sucks. i will be missing you 1824 wool.

lovely keira knightly, always styled the best. a big thanks to vogue italia for proving to me the perfect lace top exists and that you don't have to be wearing leggings as pants to wear hunters.

why couldn't i live in italy or the uk where the fashion mags actually have things i'd wear in them? each vogue italia or elle uk is like a reference book, whereas wonderful us versions are just ads and boredom. i still wish to this day i'd spent the $14.95 on elle uk 3 years ago with mary kate on the cover.

this lake is magical, it's beautiful no matter what time of year. now back to knitting in the drear of the sloggy city. if i have to be here i'll be damned if i'm not wearing the most gorgeous colorful wool knit goods possible to keep me warm. i think i'm even going to make some knit spats with pom poms.
