best job perk of EVER

so this morning i got my mind totally blown by using a tapestry needle instead of a bobbi pin for the first time when sewing up a gift for my aunt and decided "omg, i have to take a pic and tell the world how much i love my tapestry needle after work!"

WELL, after a rockin day at the shop we cracked beers and Jack was like "we've made it through april and the first 4 months of this year have kicked these four months of last year's asses... so i think the shop is buying all four of us new bikes"

WAY BETTER THAN A FREAKING TAPESTRY NEEDLE!!! ...though i still think that's amazing too

and i haven't managed to kill any of the five plants that have been under my care for the past 3 months either! two of them are actually blooming. damn, i'm on a roll.

now i just have to decide what bike to get. ok well that was easy

hail!

so my ride home from work thursday KICKED ASS. after everyone i work with and my bikes got hailed on and we witnessed a crazy thunderstorm squall thing at work, i rode home into another storm and got to watch the lightning and hear the thunder the whole way back, i was aiming straight towards it and got rained on while wearing my heart shaped sunglasses.

IT WAS AWESOME

i did however, completely miss the rainbow because it was at my back the whole time. it's ok though because we found the end of the rainbow at the back of the shop and figured out who's the leprechaun.

now i'm watching "they saved hitler's brain" on rtv. seriously, a+ for total randomness

a lovely lady of the african violet variety, she hasn't bloomed since i got her as a gift 4 years ago. i guess she likes it here as much as i do

reality vs. dream life. damnit

you know it's been a pretty weird day when you go from doing something as silly as hunting down quick oats and vegan chocolate chips at whole foods to driving down westminster street at 2:10am which is nothing less than completely idiotic if you desire to remain alive and unwounded.

why do i have to choose between: living at home (lame), living on the nice east side but with all the wretched BROWN students (horrible) and living somewhere where LITERALLY finding a broken handgun on the side of the road, numerous syringes on the sidewalks and being beeped at by fucking freaks is a normal day of neighborhood life (also not my favorite)?





i'm moving to Blithewald. follow me if you love grass, flowers, animals and the ocean. come on now, who WOULDN'T want to live there? i'll knit you pretty pink wool socks and we'll drink tea surrounded by daffodils.

now i'm going to return to reality to bake my cookies and escape to NH the next possible chance i get.

...or buy myself a gun.
